The statistics point to a high scoring World Cup quarter-final between these sides and we have had a look at where the value lies in the goals market

The top scorers in the World Cup face the pre-tournament favourites in what could be a hugely entertaining quarter-final tie in Kazan.

Belgium's 12 goals netted have helped them to four wins out of four, while Brazil seem to be gathering momentum with three consecutive 2-0 wins after drawing their opening match.

Latest odds

dabblebet make the five-time world champions clear favourites, with the price of 23/20 (2.15) for a Brazilian victory inside 90 minutes big enough to interest plenty of punters.

Belgium are offered at 5/2 (3.50) and there is little doubt that Roberto Martinez's side have enough firepower to cause any side in the tournament problems. The game is priced at 12/5 (3.40) to go to extra time.

Team news

Brazil will be without first choice defensive midfielder Casemiro, who is suspended after picking up a yellow card against Mexico in the previous round, with Fernandinho set to deputise.

Meanwhile, Marcelo and Douglas Costa both missed the Mexico game but could be available for the South Americans after returning to training.

Preview

Given the sheer quality of the attacking players on display it is hard to envisage a low-scoring game, although the previous round saw a number of such encounters.

Only three of the eight matches in the last 16 saw over 2.5 goals, yet these two sides had little problem scoring with Brazil netting twice for the third successive game, and Belgium putting three past Japan.

Tips and predictions

Both teams have netted in all four matches they have contested and both teams to score on Friday night is priced at 3/4 (1.75).

Over 2.5 goals meanwhile is offered at the healthy odds of 19/20 (1.95), and there could well be some interest in the price of 11/10 (2.10) for Brazil to score over 1.5 goals for the fourth consecutive game.
