Mohamed Salah will attempt to break the Premier League goalscoring record (38-game season) after being named in Liverpool’s XI for the visit of Stoke City.

Liverpool travel to Roma for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday, fuelling suggestions that Salah would be rested.
However, the Egyptian will start alongside Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings in attack against the relegation-haunted Potters. Sadio Mane is nursing a minor injury and is not in the squad.

Salah is tied with Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez on 31 goals – although he will need a few more to beat the overall Premier League record, which stands at 34 goals from the old 42-game campaign.
